You’ll be a key voice in ensuring our construction and field operations are delivered safely, consistently and to the highest standard. From guiding teams in the field to influencing practices across the business, your expertise will help embed a safer, smarter way of working.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

You’ll play a central role supporting our network operations by:

 

  • Providing expert guidance on construction and installation standards across the network
  • Supporting field teams, engineering and delivery partners with practical, on-the-ground advice
  • Identifying unsafe trends, risks and opportunities for improvement and driving action
  • Leading or supporting incident investigations, ensuring clear insights and outcomes
  • Assisting with ESV WPO inspections and compliance requirements
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of Network Minimum Standards
  • Building capability by coaching and educating stakeholders on safe work practices

 

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your input directly improves safety, quality and operational performance.

 

What you’ll bring

 

You’re experienced, practical and confident in your expertise, with a genuine commitment to safety and improvement:

 

  • Strong experience in network construction, operations or work practices (electricity or gas)
  • Deep understanding of safety, risk and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to identify issues, analyse trends and recommend practical solutions
  • Experience supporting or leading incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Confidence working with a wide range of internal teams and delivery partners
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide others

 

trade qualification or 10+ years’ relevant experience is ideal.
