Western Renewables Link Senior Project Manager

Work with the relevant project streams and Delivery Partners to manage the design and delivery input to the environmental planning approvals process to optimise outcomes within existing planning guidelines.

 

Your Role:

 

  • Interact with, and support, the Planning and Environmental team and Stakeholder teams to meet with planning, regulatory and industry bodies and other key stakeholders to obtain and maintain support for the project.
  • Work with internal and external technical teams, and AEMO, to oversee design scope change requests and stage gating also Identify, document and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Consult and inform key internal stakeholders including all project streams, Commercial, Project Finance and Legal to ensure that project priorities are achieved and deadlines are met.
  • Report to project stakeholders and management by providing regular progress reports on timelines, cost, risk assessments and project finance, tracking against project plans.
  • Development of required input to management papers, Board papers and commercial negotiations as required; this includes regular liaison with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all commercial, regulatory and contractual obligations are met, including, but not limited to: Health, Safety & Environment; landowner agreements; planning consents; and insurance.
  • Influence continuous improvement through methods such as post-implementation evaluation and assessment of results against project plans; actively collaborate to share insights and wins with others. 

 

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management in Infrastructure or Energy (Planning and Approval experience a bonus).
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering is preferred.
  • A high level of organizational skills and demonstrated effectiveness handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes and meeting deadlines under pressure
  • A strong motivated communicator with a strong degree of EQ to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups to think and act quickly.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and comfort working across different media inclusive of presentations, correspondence and email.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with high attention to detail and a focus on compliance.
  • Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary internal and external resources.
