Play a critical role in our logistical transformation, supporting the transmission electricity network by ensuring the constant availability of strategic spares to enable a safe and timely response to electrical outages across Ausnet’s transmission network. You will be responsible for managing warehouses across Victoria to support our networks.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager In this role as a Warehouse Supervisor (Transmission), you will plan and supervise the daily activities of the warehouse team and work closely with internal stakeholders, Ausnet’s vendor base and delivery partners to ensure inventory is optimally managed across the transmission warehousing value chain. You will play a key role in safety performance and reporting at the various sites.
This role will primarily be based in our Yarraville and Ringwood warehouses and is part of the Logistics Team. There will also be an expectation within this role for statewide travel to support our regional stores.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Plan and supervise warehouse and material management activities across our transmission value-chain including daily supervision of the warehousing staff.
- Responsible for safe operations and the Yarraville site through adherence to all OH&S policies and legislation.
- Management of transmission and station level support spares.
- Issuing of required spares to support planned or unplanned Transmission level outages.
- Plan and supervise annual stock takes across multiple sites state-wide in accordance with company stock take schedule.
- The physical and system receipting, inspection and storage of Transmission and Station level support spares.
- Manage the logistics process for Transmission and Station level support spares including freight management, reverse logistics and dealing with stake holders across the inventory stream.
- Counterbalance and/or reach truck activities including the loading and unloading of freight operating a counterbalance forklift.
- Plan and manage the on-call availability roster in line with company seasonal risk periods.
- Manage the inventory system process around material management including the repair/refurb process of Transmission and Station level support spares.
- Support the Logistics manager and broader business to deliver transformation projects.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Supervisory level warehousing experience.
- Proven team leader with a strong focus on safety, continual improvement and team development.
- Computer literate including intermediate level MS office package experience.
- SAP/ERP HANA/4 experience required for the role.
- Forklift License & experience.
- OH&S Manual handling & Inventory Management Experience
- Familiar with the Chain of Responsibility legislation is preferred for this role.
- An ability to work autonomously or part of a team.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in RFID systems is highly regarded.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a good understanding of time management principles.
- Experience in the utility sector is highly regarded.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Dogman and crane licence preferred.
- Manual handling certification highly regarded.
