Become part of a critical team for The Western Renewables Link Project (WRL), the largest transmission build in over three decades and is critical infrastructure required to unlock the renewable energy potential of Victoria as the state transitions to cleaner, more sustainable energy.

 

In this role as a Project Information Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading the implementation of digital solutions across project cross-functional workflow. You will implement the technology, applications, and hardware required to deliver the project in a data-centric manner.

 

Create pilot and deploy digital tools and services in this role that will improve safety, quality, productivity in accordance with project standards, ISO requirements, project information delivery plans, and client information requirements.

 

This role can be based in Melbourne and is part of the Major Projects Team.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

·         Prepare, implement, and maintain the project Information Management (IM) strategy and plans, working collaboratively with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

·         Contribute to the Project Management Plan (PMP) for alignment with the project IM strategies and plans.

·         Drive the use of and support digital tools/system/s to ensure project information and communication is secure and traceable, building the capacity and capability of the WRL project to achieve this. 

·         Develop project Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) as part of contract flow-downs to delivery teams and ensure inclusion in procurement packages.

·         Implement Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and associated integrated work processes to support application exchange requirements.

·         Coordinate with delivery team functions to develop IM use cases to support project delivery and reporting requirements.

·         Devise training plans for systems, tools, and the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring data integrity of project documentation and records.

·         Conduct regular assessments to review the implementation of the project IM plan and seek opportunities for improvement.

·         Align processes and procedures with industry-wide IM standards and best practices, including ISO19650.

·         Champion the configuration of the CDE as the single source of truth for all project content (shared and issued).

·         Conduct UAT testing of new tools and updates to existing tools to ensure alignment with project requirements.

·         Digitalize work processes by capturing, integrating, analysing, and visualising information for efficient automated workflows.

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

·         Bachelor of Science in technical discipline or Bachelor of Information Systems or equivalent

·         13+ years of experience in delivering large complex AEC projects, including 7+ years of experience in implementing PMIS technologies like Content management systems (ACC/Aconex), ArcGIS, Unifier, Cost Management & reporting systems etc.

·         Hands-on Experience implementing ACC Build on medium to large sized projects

·         Significant experience preparing, implementing, and maintaining IM and innovation strategies and plans. Ideally in accordance with ISO 19650.

·         Competence in defining and configuring PMIS, including CDE and associated integrated workflows.

·         Knowledge of Electronic Content/Document Management systems such as Aconex

·         Experience with implementing ‘right-sized’ IM and innovation solutions for client environments and requirements, ideally as an EPC Delivery Partner or Project Management Consultant as part of an integrated team.

·         Track record of working closely with and influencing senior client staff, project cross-functional teams, design consultants, and contractors.

·         Proven experience supporting the tender process from conceptual design to RFP, bid evaluation, selection, negotiation, and execution.

·         Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops, work process mapping and implementing a structured approach to integration of cross functional information, to support scope management, change management and asset management.

·         Experience in developing project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), templates, standards & classification systems, class libraries, and master data models for large-scale projects.

·         Proficiency in defining (requirements gathering) and deploying project dashboards using PowerBI & GIS.
