An excellent opportunity for a Vegetation Management Lead, who can drive our Vegetation Management program from a strategic standpoint.

 

You will oversee the governance of the Vegetation Management strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective bushfire mitigation programs.

 

Be the leading force behind the delivery of the Works Program on time and within budget, monitoring regulatory changes, and conducting quality assurance to maintain consistency in asset management practices.

 

With a 3/2 Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Asset Management Team. For candidates interested in moving for this role from states outside of Victoria in Australia, we would be delighted to offer relocation assistance for this role.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Oversee strategy, ensure compliance, and bushfire mitigation
  • Work with Network Operations to ensure work programs are delivered on time and in budget.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and evaluating impacts on the business and initiate actions to ensure full compliance.
  • Attend audits and address stakeholder queries accordingly.
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure consistency in asset management practices.
  • Support the Network Safety team's regulatory activities
  • Update risk assessments and documents
  • Assist with EDPR and TRR submissions
  • Mentor and support junior engineers

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Proven technical expertise in arboriculture
  • Knowledge of electrical Distribution and/or Transmission systems
  • Operational exposure to OH&S policies, procedures, and systems
  • Utility, energy, and/or asset management experience is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of technical and economic regulations governing electrical networks
  • Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results
