About the role
This role with see you developing and delivering talent sourcing and attraction initiatives for either the Corporate or Development & Future Networks portfolio, delivering the required workforce for today and the future. As a Talent Lead your role will be around 70% delivery and 30% people leadership and/or strategic project work. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Strategic Workforce Planning, People Partners, Sourcing Specialist and People Leaders to ensure recruitment initiatives align with immediate and longer-term organisational goals
- Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to all levels of hiring managers, from executives to frontline managers
- Working in partnership with the Employer Branding Specialist to create innovative recruitment campaigns across multiple channels to engage high-quality candidates, driving recruitment goals while strengthening AusNet's employer brand.
- Continuously improving recruitment processes, staying responsive to emerging labour market trends and best practices to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and overall recruitment outcomes
- Championing for internal talent mobility by leveraging internal talent data and succession plans
- Providing talent data insights, both external market and internal sourcing data, to inform immediate and strategic sourcing and attraction approaches
- Partnering with HR teams to solve workforce sourcing and attraction challenges that require broader People Function interventions
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with external providers, including executive search firms, educational institutions, and employment service providers, to support recruitment needs
- Taking accountability for a positive candidate experience through all stages of the recruitment lifecycle
- Ensuring compliance and risk mitigation through actively engaging with stakeholders and maintain awareness of relevant legislation, laws, regulations, standards, codes and Ausnet policies and procedures in relation to hiring practices
- Leading and supporting talent acquisition change initiatives, including the implementation of recruitment technology platforms, developing and refining procedures and processes, providing training and coaching to hiring managers, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with AusNet's workforce goals
About you
You don’t need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- A tertiary qualification in HR and/or Business or other related discipline
- Proven experience in the delivery of contemporary, best-practice attraction and sourcing methods, including proactive sourcing, talent mapping, campaigns etc.
- Strong understanding of various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, and networking
- Knowledgeable about the latest external recruitment market trends and talent competitor recruitment activity and ability to bring these insights and practices into AusNet's ways of working where applicable
- Familiarity with utilising succession plans and other internal talent data to support an organisation's internal career framework outcomes
- Knowledge of best practices for inclusive hiring and mitigating bias in recruitment processes
- Understanding of employment laws, hiring regulations, and risk management practices related to recruitment
- Experience collaborating with employer branding teams to design and execute attraction campaigns
- Experience with building talent sourcing & attraction initiatives in response to organisational short- & long-term priorities e.g. strategic workforce plans
- High level of proficiency in leveraging data to generate insights that drive strategic talent sourcing & attraction decisions (e.g. External Market Insights, Internal Sourcing & Attraction Metrics, Employee Experience data
- Demonstrated ability to quickly building strong relationships with others (including leaders & HRBPs) to serve as a trusted advisor, effectively influencing talent sourcing & attraction strategies
- Experience leading or supporting change initiatives related to recruitment technology and process enhancements
- Familiarity with optimizing recruitment technology platforms (ATS, CRM, etc.)
- Proven experience in managing a small team to deliver high quality recruitment and selection advice and services in complex and/or medium to large size multidisciplinary organisations
- Knowledge of the energy and tech sectors would be beneficial
