About the Role 

 

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a small, high-performing team You’ll lead AusNet’s climate data and reporting program, delivering insights and analysis that inform our sustainability priorities, regulatory obligations and reporting. 

Your work will directly support: 

  • AusNet’s climate change targets and sustainability goals 

  • Strategic clarity across the business through enterprise-wide engagement 

  • Continuous improvement in climate reporting, systems, and data governance 

 

You’ll collaborate across the organisation and externally to: 

  • Deliver audit-ready climate accounts for NGERs and ASRS S2 

  • Monitor and report on emissions performance and targets 

  • Develop AusNet’s first Scope 3 emissions inventory 

  • Calibrate and manage a new climate data system and dashboard 

  • Lead internal and external climate data audits and assurance processes 

  • Support decarbonisation initiatives and ESG reporting 

 

About you  

 

We’re looking for a curious, analytical thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about sustainability. You ask smart questions, simplify complexity, and continuously test and learn. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science or equivalent, or relevant work experience 

  • 2+ years in climate change data and reporting or a sustainability role 

  • Direct experience with climate reporting frameworks (e.g. NGERs) 

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief and influence senior leadership 

  • Experience in the energy/utilities sector is highly desirable 

  • Proven ability to manage external consultants and cross-functional projects
