About the Role

As our Statutory Reporting Manager, you'll be a critical member of our finance team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our financial statements for external stakeholders.  You'll lead and oversee a team of talented professionals while providing subject matter expertise and guidance on complex accounting issues related to statutory reporting.

 

This role will report to the Group Reporting & Accounting Manager and is located in Southbank, Victoria.

What you will deliver

  • Comply with accounting policies, address technical queries related to statutory reporting, and implement new accounting standards as required
  • Manage intricate processes like cash flows, leases, provisions, tax-effect accounting, and cost allocation/segment reporting, ensuring they align with statutory reporting requirements
  • Prepare and review financial statements for statutory reporting, conducting thorough analytical reviews to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage preparation of due diligence processes and internal controls for statutory reporting
  • Foster the development and growth of your team members and key talent segments within the organisation, while effectively managing budgets and resources to achieve set targets

 

What we like about you                                                                                           

  • CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) and possess strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply relevant statutory reporting standards
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and excel at managing complex accounting processes with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring adherence to statutory reporting deadlines
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, allowing you to clearly explain complex financial matters to executive level stakeholders and external auditors
  • You may have had experience in a Big Four consultancy in a similar like role &/or you are looking for your next opportunity in an internal role
  • Ability to lead and project manage the financial statements audit, collaborating with our auditors and finance colleagues to ensure high quality deliverables meet deadlines and audits are followed through to completion
