About the Role 

The Software Developer will be an integral part of the collaborative Energy Platform team, working closely with the Technical Lead.  

 

Our team collaborates on multiple solutions for the renewable energy sector, from frontend monitoring systems, backend control systems, and embedded IoT applications. Modern system design and implementation is core to the products and projects we work on. 

 
This role involves engaging in software design and development tasks within the framework of engineering projects. There is a focus on creating reliable software solutions that are easy to maintain and can adapt to evolving needs.

This is a permanent Full-Time position.  

 
This role will report to the Technical Lead and is located at Southbank, Victoria. 
 
We are a flexible and truly hybrid workplace. 
  

What you will deliver   

  • Developing clean, testable & scalable code following the software development life cycle. 

  • Contribute to development procedures, guidelines, and standards 

  • Assisting in the design of applications 

  • Identifying, solving, and debugging complex issues 

  • Maintenance and testing of code bases 

  • Write automated tests to implement new features and maintain existing systems 

  • Providing technical support for applications 

 
 What we like about you 

  • A basic understanding in developing integration solutions 

  • A familiarity with an object-oriented programming language 

  • Knowledge of cloud native applications in a cloud environment (AWS) 

  • Knowledge of API Gateways 

  • Exposure to embedded IoT applications 

  • Comfortable with Command Line environment 

  • Exposure to web-based technologies (e.g. Angular or React) 

  • High levels of initiative and a desire to challenge yourself and continuously improve 

  • Passionate about the renewable energy sector and the energy transition
