We have an opportunity for a Shift Manager to provide on-shift leadership of a control room team and delivering safe, timely network switching and access across AusNet’s Transmission, Electricity Distribution and Gas Distribution Networks.
Based at our Control Room in Melbourne’s CBD with a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, this role is part of the Distribution Control & Operations team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

Leading and managing a control room team across rotating shifts

Overseeing real-time planned and emergency activities across three networks

Managing network incidents in line with emergency protocols

Providing expert technical advice and resolving complex operational issues

Driving performance and contributing to network reliability and customer outcomes
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

Extensive experience in regulated operational environments across energy networks
-
Strong leadership and people management in high-paced settings
-
Advanced understanding of the operating principles, systems and equipment across gas, and electricity distribution and transmission networks.

Proven ability to resolve complex problems and lead through change
-
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and emergency management skills
