This role will see you plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities, provide engagement advice and advocate for community and stakeholder outcomes.
With a Hybrid split Office / WFH, this role can be based in Melbourne CBD and is part of the Development & Future Networks team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Develop, implement and evaluate communication and engagement plans in line with relevant communication and engagement strategies and AusNet’s stakeholder engagement framework
- Implement and deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities relating to infrastructure projects
- Engage with stakeholders, landowners and community members to mitigate impacts and risks to projects
- Coordinate stakeholder and community engagement consultants to support engagement program delivery
- Provide communication and engagement advice and support to project managers
- Identify and mitigate project communication and engagement risks
- Monitor and address communication and engagement issues
- Liaise with internal teams to support effective delivery of engagement programs and to ensure consistent messaging
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement or working towards
- Significant proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement working on infrastructure projects
- Exceptional time management and planning skills
- Experience in active engagement with community members, community groups and government stakeholders
- Appreciation of statutory planning and approvals process of major infrastructure
- Strong relationship skills across a range of stakeholder types
