Lead and innovate as a Senior Security Advisor in our Security and Network Control team. This role is critical to leading and driving compliance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 and safeguarding AusNet’s infrastructure. You’ll lead security-focused projects, promote a proactive security culture, and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
This role offers flexible hybrid working, based in Flinders Street, Melbourne, as part of the Protective Security Team
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Providing risk-based security advice to mitigate emerging threats and protecting a diverse range of assets
- Expertise in supply chain security
- Leading the integration of CPTED principles into new and existing projects
- Developing and maintaining security policies, standards and procedures
- Driving security awareness initiatives and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing security contractors to ensure optimal performance and value for money
- Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting incident investigations
- Acting as Manager, Security when required, mentoring team members and building capability within the team
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- A relevant university degree and/or professional qualifications
- 5+ years of corporate security experience, ideally in critical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of risk management approaches to security (HB167:2006) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)Experience with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and CPTED principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation capabilities
- Proven experience in developing and mentoring others
