About the role
We’re seeking two Senior Project Procurement Managers to lead procurement strategy and execution across major network projects. These are high-impact roles where you'll unlock new sources of value, beyond cost, through innovation, risk management, and supplier partnerships. You’ll be instrumental in shaping project outcomes, influencing critical business decisions, and driving procurement excellence. Leading and influencing critical business decisions related to project expenditures is a key factor for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic procurement for high-value, complex projects, from planning and sourcing through to contract execution and supplier performance.
- Develop and execute category and project procurement strategies that improve speed to market, reduce risk, and deliver innovation and commercial value.
- Influence critical business decisions by providing market intelligence, cost driver analysis, and sourcing insights that shape project outcomes.
- Manage end-to-end tendering and negotiation processes, ensuring contracts are commercially sound, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with project deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and procurement champion.
- Own supplier relationships for key categories, defining KPIs, leading performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, legal, and analytics teams to ensure procurement strategies are integrated and effective.
- Support compliance and governance, ensuring procurement activities align with policy, process, and regulatory requirements.
- Coach and guide sourcing teams, providing leadership and expertise to elevate procurement capability across the organisation.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil, or Construction (Master’s/MBA preferred)
- 10–15 years’ experience in procurement within project environments, ideally in utilities or infrastructure.
- Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/e-Procurement systems.
- A curious mindset, collaborative spirit, and a drive to simplify complexity and deliver results.
