The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role where you’ll deliver accurate and timely payroll services across multiple entities, while supporting process improvements and compliance initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Independently deliver hands on end-to-end payroll processing for fortnightly pay cycles in SAP S4/Hana and SuccessFactors.
- Manage onboarding, terminations, pay related benefits and reconciliations, and out-of-cycle payments.
- Respond correctly and timely to all incoming queries from employees or stakeholders.
- Complete complex statutory reconciliations (Payroll Tax, Superannuation, STP), reporting and support audits.
- Collaborate with People and Finance teams to resolve queries and streamline processes.
- Create automated reporting and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
- Contribute to payroll-related projects and system enhancements.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements, including STP2, PayDay super, LSL and Workcover.
- Can work across multiple EA’s, awards and policy obligations
- Must have SAP S4/Hana payroll processing, SuccessFactors and Spinifex systems experience (mandatory). PayTools is a bonus.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Candidate requires highly flexible, highly organised, resilient proactive and consultative approach.
