In this role as a Senior GIS Analyst you will develop, implement and coordinate corporate frameworks, processes and procedures relevant to AusNet’s spatial systems and databases, to support successful project delivery.
With a 3/2 Hybrid split Office / WFH, this role can be based in Melbourne CBD and is part of the Development & Future Networks team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Develop, implement and monitor spatial data standards, specifications and operational guidelines to uphold data accuracy and relevance
- Create, design, manage and administer geospatial data sets, in line with project requirements
- Provide quality control for spatial data management and GIS output
- Coordinate spatial analysis initiatives and projects to extract insights that enhance decision-making across projects
- Remain up to date with GIS industry trends, and GIS software and data capture tools
- Provide troubleshooting support for ESRI software and the ArcGIS Field Maps app
- Manage GIS subscriptions (such as ESRI) and cloud-based databases
- Create and design mapping outputs relevant to internal and external client needs
- Contribute to our ability to deliver our services by demonstrating an understanding of work health safety and cyber security standards and applying them to relevant activities.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Tertiary qualifications in surveying, spatial science, information management, systems, business, engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a GIS analyst, ideally on complex large-scale infrastructure projects
- High level of proficiency in ESRI and associated suite of products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online)
- Experience developing, implementing and monitoring spatial data standards, specifications and operational guidelines
- Experience providing troubleshooting support for GIS software
- Exceptional time and project management skills
- Strong relationship skills across a range of stakeholder types; ability to gain cooperation and influence decisions of stakeholders
