The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to deliver high-quality financial analysis and insights that drive strategic decision-making. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you’ll play a key role in preparing the annual 5-Year Financial Plan, monthly forecasts, and cashflow models, while providing recommendations that influence business performance.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare the annual 5-Year Financial Plan and supporting analysis.
- Deliver monthly P&L and capital expenditure forecasts with actionable insights.
- Own and maintain AusNet’s cashflow model and liquidity reporting.
- Provide quarterly distribution recommendations or capital management solutions based on latest forecasts.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and business change.
- Drive improvements in financial plan templates and processes.
- Build strong relationships across Finance and key stakeholders.
About You
We’re looking for a finance professional who brings both technical expertise and strategic thinking to the table. Ideally, you have:
- CPA or CA qualification (CA preferred; CFA highly regarded).
- 3–4+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or auditing.
- A background in Big 4 auditing, complemented by FP&A finance experience (preferably in regulated utilities industry).
- Prefer proven financial modelling skills and advanced Excel capability.
- Strong understanding of P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet interrelationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Commercial acumen and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
- A curious, proactive, and collaborative mindset—someone who thrives on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
