Are you ready to turn complex data into insights that matter?

We have an opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist (Distribution) to embed within our Asset Management team and apply advanced analytics, machine learning and modelling to real operational challenges.

Reporting to the Manager, Asset Strategy & Risk, this role is based at Freshwater Place and plays a critical role in supporting asset investment, safety and performance decisions.

What you’ll help deliver

• Analyse complex asset, operational and customer data to uncover trends and insights
• Develop predictive, statistical and machine learning models to improve asset risk management
• Partner with engineers and leaders to solve real world problems
• Translate complex analysis into clear, credible insights for senior stakeholders

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

• Strong experience in data science, analytics and modelling (Python, SQL, dashboards)
• Ability to work with large, complex data sets across multiple systems
• Confidence communicating insights and challenging assumptions with evidence
• Background in utilities, asset‑intensive or similar environments (preferred)
