Finance & Strategy plays a critical role in driving the sustainable improvement of financial performance, while ensuring strong commercial outcomes and sound risk management. Within this, the Corporate Reporting & Analytics team delivers accurate and timely financial reporting and forecast consolidation, enabling informed decision‑making and helping drive overall financial performance.

 

This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality corporate reporting, including key deliverables for our controlling shareholder. You will also support forecast and budget consolidation, ensuring the integrity of financial information and providing management with meaningful insights to support effective decision‑making.

 

This role offered broad visibility across the business, with exposure to enterprise-wide performance and shareholder reporting, while working closely with teams across finance and the broader business.

 

 

 

What you’ll be doing in this role:

 

  • Deliver timely, accurate and high‑quality reporting packs to shareholders, including managing related queries
  • Prepare and review the monthly management report for the consolidated business
  • Lead the consolidation of forecasts and budgets across P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and Capex
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of reported and forecast outcomes through robust review, challenge, and the application of technical accounting and commercial judgement
  • Provide clear, insightful analysis and commentary on key drivers, risks and variances
  • Maintain and continuously improve reporting models, systems and processes
  • Support management reporting and deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

 

 

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • CA / CPA qualified (CA preferred), with a minimum of 4 years from Big 4 (or similar) and industry experience (prefer regulated infrastructure industry knowledge)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply accounting principles in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow and their interdependencies
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, including consolidation processes
  • Ability to apply sound judgement, scepticism and curiosity to financial information to identify risks and insights
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret results and provide clear, structured commentary
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and communicate information clearly
  • Experience working with financial systems (e.g. SAP) and strong Excel capability
