We’re looking for an Asset Management System Engineer to play a key role in strengthening and evolving our Asset Management System. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Asset Management System Lead to drive continuous improvement, lift system maturity, and support the ongoing ISO 55001 certification process.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

 

  • Deliver complex work that strengthens AusNet’s Asset Management System, driving continuous improvement and business-wide efficiency initiatives.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve applied problems and address issues with broad business impact.
  • Support process, specification, and standard improvements, contributing to new methods of practice.
  • Translate complex business requirements into well‑evaluated options and recommendations aligned to strategic plans.
  • Maintain clear compliance traceability for internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to ongoing ISO 55001 certification through defined maintenance activities.
  • Implement actions to address improvement opportunities and non‑conformances across the business.
  • Conduct internal audits to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support the internal Asset Management Committee in achieving strategic outcomes.
  • Liaise with business units to help maintain other AusNet certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Promote strategic continuous improvement thinking across the organisation.

 

 

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

 

  • Degree in electrical engineering highly desirable.
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering / asset management experience preferred.
  • Demonstratable involvement in ISO 55001 ongoing maintenance.
  • Utility and/or, energy experience – highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Sound commercial acumen skills
  • Good writing and communication skills
