We’re looking for a Senior Customer & Community Works Engagement Advisor for a minimum of nine months to champion stakeholder, customer, and community engagement across our electricity distribution works. You’ll shape and implement customer and community engagement on projects from business case through to completion. You will craft compelling multi-channel communications and working with the Network Operations & Delivery teams to identify risks early, advocate for customers and community, and keep customers informed during work activities. Your strategic insights and meticulous record-keeping will strengthen AusNet’s reputation as we deliver safe, reliable energy to 1.5 million Victorians.

 

With a 3/2 hybrid split, this 9-month fixed-term role is based at Freshwater Place in the Customer & Community – Distribution team.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Create and execute Customer & Community Works Engagement Plans and sub-plans and budgets.
  • Be responsible for the works engagement in the Projects and Program Delivery portfolio of works.
  • Write and distribute notifications, newsletters, social posts, and formal letters.
  • Support the handling of enquiries via phone, email, web, and social media, ensuring timely responses.
  • Maintain and improve working relationships with Project Managers and their teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and draft reports for project cycles.
  • Support customers and communities during unplanned major events eg: storms.
  • Some work outside of business hours and on weekends will be required.
  • Travel to regional areas of Victoria will be required.

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Degree in Communications (or similar) plus 5–7 yrs engagement experience in the infrastructure or energy industries.
  • Australian Driver’s license
  • Demonstrated success delivering community/customer works engagement .
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • CRM experience and strong project-management capability.
