This is an opportunity to lead and shape our enterprise approach to psychosocial safety, injury management and workplace health and wellbeing across a diverse and operationally complex workforce.

 

Reporting to the Head of HSE Enablement, you'll establish the strategic direction, governance and delivery of AusNet's psychosocial, health and injury management portfolio, influencing leaders across the business and driving initiatives that create safer, healthier and more resilient workplaces.

 

About the role

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll:

  • Lead AusNet's psychosocial risk management framework, programs and enterprise initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage psychosocial hazards, building capability across the business.
  • Drive injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work strategies that support positive recovery outcomes.
  • Lead occupational health and wellbeing programs, including fatigue management, health monitoring and preventative health initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on emerging risks, legislation, industry trends and organisational priorities.
  • Manage external providers including insurers, rehabilitation partners, occupational health providers and wellbeing services.

 

What we're looking for

 

Our ideal candidate has successfully designed, implemented and embedded enterprise-wide psychosocial safety programs and can demonstrate a deep understanding of psychosocial risk management, psychological safety and mentally healthy workplaces

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of: 

 

  • Certified Return-to-Work Coordinator
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience developing strategy, governance frameworks and reporting.
  • A track record of influencing senior leaders and driving organisational change.
  • A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Health Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, Allied Health or a related discipline.
