A remarkable opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager to join the Stations- Project Delivery team within our Distribution line of business and be responsible for delivery of Zone Substation Asset replacement, Rebuilds and Network Augmentation Projects.
This role will see you deliver the full project lifecycle (design, procure, construct, commission, close out) in order to meet the agreed business targets and key fundamentals of safety, cost, time and quality.
This role will be based in Malvern with the opportunity to also work out of our other metro and regional offices and can be discussed with the successful incumbent with a hybrid split of Office/WFH.
What you will deliver:
- Lead, plan and manage the safe delivery of initiatives/projects for the Projects & Programs team
- Establish and manage commercial contracts and relationships with suppliers and delivery partners
- Ensure an agreed Project Management Plan is in place that includes an achievable project schedule that aligns to the business requirements and constraints
- Support the development of business cases for funding approval
- Ensure appropriate governance frameworks and accountabilities are defined and actively in place and align to the Business Project Governance Procedure
- Provide and maintain accurate financial forecasts for the project
- Participate in in-flight reviews and health checks of projects and makes solid recommendations for actions and follow up on implementation improvements
What we like about you:
- Demonstrated experience working within the Electrical Energy Industry - Electricity Distribution, Electricity Transmission or Power Generation within a Stations discipline is highly desirable; civil, primary and secondary
- You understand the nuances and functionality of how Energy Infrastructure “connects” and have successfully delivered large scale projects within Energy Networks
- Engaging approach with diverse stakeholders and bringing everyone on the journey
- Well versed in key market drivers, industry players and latest developments within energy markets, relevant to project delivery
- Strong appetite for project management governance framework
- Project Management (or related) qualifications, or the equivalent business / commercial acumen to deliver all elements of large scale, commercial Energy Projects
