We’re seeking a Project Engineer to help deliver large-scale, complex infrastructure projects—on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. In this role, you’ll ensure projects meet all safety, environmental, community, and construction expectations while aligning with approved scope, timeframes, and cost metrics.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the Senior Project Manager with planning, forecasting, reporting, and overseeing the delivery of power infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on transmission network infrastructure.

This position offers a 3/2 hybrid split between office (Southbank) and work-from-home , and the role requires travel to high voltage infrastructure construction sites in metro and regional area’s.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Assist project managers with materials procurement and tracking
- Coordinate with design delivery partners for timely and quality delivery of construction designs
- Manage engineering aspects and troubleshoot problems during the delivery of projects to derive efficient and effective solutions
- Contributes to the assessment and management of project and network risks and opportunities, including ensuring project constructability, operability, and maintainability with the aim to improving overall project delivery safety and productivity performance.
- Provision of insights into value engineering, risk assessment and lessons learnt workshops in support of the continuous improvement of project management processes
- Management of project and delivery partner quality assurance and compliance to agreed Quality standards
- Contribute to pre-contracts project development phase including interpreting the needs, expectations and limitations of customers’ and stakeholders’ requirements to produce commercially competitive proposals
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- License requirements: Victorian Driver’s License is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Preferred Professional body membership: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
- Medium to high voltage power sector projects
- PowerBI, Project or Primavera
- SAP
- Construction White Card
- First Aid and CPR Course
- Understanding of safe work methods and ability to review them
