Provide technical support on customer and company-initiated projects on our Electricity distribution network.

We’re entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Project Engineer (Lines) to help us lead the way.  This role will see you developing front end engineering solutions and/or delivering conceptual designs for lines projects across the Projects portfolio.

This role is based in Southbank and is part of our Engineering Solutions team within our Distribution line of business.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

• Apply technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects
• Develop and/or review scopes, detailed design and installation scope of works
• Provide technical input into staging, constructability, operability and maintainability (COM) and safety in design reviews
• Identify opportunities to develop new, and update existing engineering standards
• Contribute to the development of scopes and estimates for Distribution network projects ensuring cost effective and constructible business cases can be delivered
• Contribute to the timely delivery of design projects working closely with internal stakeholders and external Design Service Providers

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Detailed technical knowledge and extensive experience in electricity networks in the utilities space, especially 22kV and 66kV distribution lines design
• Ability to simplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers (e.g. summarising key decision-making during delivery of detailed design)
• Detailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principals with design and construction knowledge
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield distribution lines (22kV and 66kV) augmentation and construction projects in the capacity of a project engineer/design engineer
• Preferable - Basic knowledge of substations and/or having worked on Zone-Substation augmentation projects ranging from 22kV and above up to 66kV
