As the Portfolio Management Lead in our Strategic Portfolio Management and Planning Team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the strategic portfolio management, delivery of governance, performance reporting and analytics for projects and program works delivered by Network Operations.

With 3 days in the office, 2 days’ work from home, this role is based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Planning, Performance & Customer Team.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain automated performance monitoring tools and dashboards to enable efficient delivery of Network Operations projects and programs.
  • Oversee the Network Operations month end process including project and portfolio forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Lead monthly performance forums with senior stakeholders to review performance, future forecasts and discuss risks.
  • Monitor portfolio procedures for compliance against program and functional governance requirements.
  • Establish strategic portfolio management covering all Network Operations works programs.
  • Analyse operational data and KPIs to highlight key risks and make proactive recommendations to reduce risks and elevate performance outcomes.


You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • In depth experience in project and portfolio management within a complex environment and understanding of methodologies
  • Experience within the utility sector and a thorough understanding of regulated businesses is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills to proactively engage with key senior stakeholders, lead meetings and influence outcomes.
  • Leadership and co-ordination skills with the ability to manage competing tasks.
  • Proven reporting experience in a business or complex projects environment including strong ERP system experience e.g. SAP Portfolio Management & Project Systems
  • Ability to prioritise business outcomes and promote continuous improvement of digital platforms and processes.
