  • 2 year fixed term contract with potential extension

  • Partner with stakeholders to uplift security culture and compliance

 

We have an opportunity for a Personnel Security Specialist to play a key role in lifting AusNet’s personnel security capability as part of our Security Uplift Project.

 

Reporting to the Security Risk and Governance Manager, this role is based in Melbourne’s CBD and sits within Security and Network Control, supporting our transmission, distribution and gas networks.

 

What you’ll help deliver

 

  • Design and embed personnel security plans, procedures and controls to protect AusNet’s critical infrastructure
  • Identify and manage positions of trust and critical worker requirements in line with SOCI and PSPF obligations
  • Develop and implement a trusted insider threat mitigation program across employees and contractors
  • Partner with the business to uplift security awareness and embed sustainable, value‑focused security practices

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of

 

  • Demonstrated experience in personnel security and security risk management, ideally within critical infrastructure, government or regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and critical worker requirements
  • Experience designing and implementing security frameworks, not frontline or operational security delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, navigate change and work autonomously
