In this role, you'll provide clear and timely insights into the consolidated Distribution works program, helping support business decisions and improve operational efficiency. You’ll analyse operational and financial data to identify key risks and opportunities that can enhance delivery performance. By creating automated reporting solutions and interactive dashboards, you'll ensure real-time visibility of important metrics for stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Finance, NO&D, and Strategy teams, you'll contribute to performance monitoring, process improvements, and data-driven decision-making that aligns with both financial and operational goals.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role a permanent full-time position and is based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Distribution team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Provide analytics, performance insights, and reporting to the Distribution business, particularly the Network Operations & Delivery (NO&D) leadership team, to ensure efficient delivery of the consolidated Distribution works program.
- Design and automate performance monitoring tools to deliver real-time, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting tools, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Analyse KPIs to identify trends, risks, and inefficiencies, offering recommendations for improvements.
- Provide analysis and valuable insights that support business planning, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business or data analytics, with 5+ years of experience, preferably within the utility sector
- Proven experience in reporting within a business or complex portfolio management environment, including strong ERP system experience (e.g., SAP)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in building interactive dashboards (Power BI), streamlining reporting, and automating workflows
- A solid understanding of financial performance metrics, operational KPIs, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively engage with senior stakeholders
