We bring the energy!
Through purpose and people - not just through the infrastructure we operate, but through the way we show up for each other, our customers’ and our communities. The future of energy is in our hands. Let’s shape it together.
At AusNet, our purpose is to connect communities with reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. Behind this is a strong people foundation — and our people systems play a critical role in enabling great employee and leader experiences.
We’re looking for a People Systems Specialist to join our People Advisory & Systems team and help ensure our HR systems are secure, reliable, user‑friendly and continuously improving.
The opportunity
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being the go‑to expert for people systems, particularly SuccessFactors. You’ll sit at the front door of People Systems support, helping solve day‑to‑day system issues while also contributing to longer‑term optimisation, automation and service maturity.
You’ll work closely with People Advisory, Digital & Technology and external delivery partners to ensure our systems support the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment through to offboarding — in a way that is efficient, compliant and user‑centred.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Act as Tier 1 People Systems support, resolving SuccessFactors and people platform queries and escalating complex issues where required
- Be a trusted steward of people data, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of HRIS data including employee, position and organisational structures
- Uphold privacy, risk and compliance, ensuring role‑based permissions, governance and wage compliance frameworks are adhered to
- Identify recurring system issues and contribute insights to support continuous improvement, automation and enhancements
- Partner with external delivery partners (including Wipro) to track defects, test fixes and reduce BAU backlogs
- Enable a positive employee and leader experience by reducing friction in system processes and providing clear, responsive support
- Develop and maintain knowledge articles and self‑service content to uplift Tier 0 capability and reduce repeat queries
- Contribute to people systems projects, including testing, change activities, training and process uplift initiatives
About you
You’re detail‑driven, service‑oriented and comfortable working in environments undergoing system and service transformation. You enjoy solving problems, managing data accurately and working collaboratively across teams.
You’ll bring:
- Hands‑on experience supporting or administering SuccessFactors Employee Central and core Talent modules
- Experience producing SuccessFactors reports (story and table reports)
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with sensitive data
- A solid understanding of data privacy, confidentiality and compliance
- You’ll be comfortable working in an agile or continuously evolving environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver practical system improvements.
- The ability to juggle multiple requests while delivering responsive, high‑quality support
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting system changes, upgrades or projects in an operational environment
- Exposure to tiered service models or shared services environments (desirable)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (desirable)
- Formal HR qualifications or SuccessFactors accreditation are beneficial, but not essential.
The AusNet experience is all about…
