We’re creating an exciting new role for a high-achiever seeking strong work-life balance and the opportunity to make meaningful improvements for our field service teams. This is a hybrid role, initially based at Freshwater Place (FWP) and soon transitioning to our new, state-of-the-art office at 111 Bourke Street.
As the O&M Delivery Optimisation Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) outcomes across the DFN business.
In this role, you will lead targeted projects, investigations, and performance improvement initiatives within the O&M Delivery function, driving tangible improvements in efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Working within established asset strategies and delivery frameworks, you will focus on execution, coordination, and continuous improvement, translating agreed priorities into practical actions that enhance maintenance programs and contract performance.

What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Plan and deliver O&M projects, workstreams, and improvement initiatives within agreed scope, time, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure initiatives are practical, aligned, and operationally deliverable.
- Support the identification, investigation, and resolution of performance issues, faults, incidents, and recurring challenges.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, consistency, and reliability of O&M delivery.
- Assist in managing impacts on the asset availability including coordinating inputs and mitigation actions.
- Track and report on progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, providing clear insights for decision-making.
- Lead improvement initiatives related to inventory, fleet, and operational coordination to address inefficiencies.
- Ensure all activities align with safety, risk, and compliance requirements, escalating issues as needed.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- 5+ years of experience within the energy or utilities sector.
- Demonstrated experience in high-voltage operations, maintenance, delivery, projects or performance improvement roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, operations, business
- A solid understanding of operations and maintenance delivery within asset-intensive or infrastructure environments (e.g. energy, utilities, transport, or industrial sectors).
- Knowledge of safety, risk, and compliance requirements relevant to high-voltage environments and contractor-delivered works.
- Experience delivering projects, investigations, or improvement initiatives in operational settings.
- Strong ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities effectively..
