We have an opportunity for a Network Dispatcher to help coordinate and dispatch fault responses across AusNet's electricity and gas networks, supporting safe, reliable supply to Victorian communities.

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, this role is based in Melbourne’s CBD and forms part of our Network Operations & Delivery team. This is a shift work position operating on a 24/7 roster.

What you’ll help deliver

• Assess, triage and investigate network faults using multiple systems to determine the most effective response.
• Allocate and dispatch field crews, balancing operational priorities, safety requirements and customer restoration outcomes.
• Monitor network events and outages, maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates to key stakeholders.
• Support emergency and escalated events by making informed decisions in a fast paced operational environment.

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience in dispatch, operations, emergency response, utilities, transport, public safety or similar real time environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with field crews and stakeholders.
• High computer literacy and confidence working across multiple systems, with electrical or technical industry knowledge viewed favourably.
