About the Role

Join our Electricity Distribution team and shape the future of a safe, reliable, and sustainable network that meets the evolving needs of customers, communities, and stakeholders.

As the leader of the Network Performance & Resilience team, you'll drive innovative solutions to enhance the reliability and resilience of our electricity distribution network, ensuring top-tier performance for our customers at a cost-efficient level of investment. This role will report to the GM, Network Management (Distribution), Network Management Distribution and is located at Southbank, Victoria.

 

What you will deliver

  • Drive improvements in our network performance by developing targets, improvement solutions and initiatives, monitoring trends, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop network reliability roadmaps, integrating with asset management and network planning initiatives.
  • Lead reliability projects and programs, including the Regional Reliability Allowance (RRA) and High Voltage feeder service level improvements.
  • Enhance our network resilience to mitigate risks from bushfires, floods and other climate change impacts by developing proactive strategies
  • Develop and maintain our 5-year Network Resilience Plan and ensure that we deliver our commitments.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance, ensuring data accuracy for performance metrics.
  • Improve customer experience by refining outage notifications, life-support data, and emergency management analytics.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities, driving efficiency and sustainability across our network. 

What we like about you

  • Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or a second degree (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or leadership roles, ideally within the utilities or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of business and commercial drivers, with a focus on performance improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to manage major programs, teams, and budgets to successful outcomes.
  • Industry expertise in network and asset performance across various functions.
  • Experience in developing advanced analytics and reporting functions (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of performance strategies, trends, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a strong focus on reporting and relationship building.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ability to strategize by distilling diverse stakeholder perspectives and aligning them toward common goals.
  • Commitment to risk management principles, ensuring compliance and best practices are upheld.
