As the LNSP Analyst, this role will see you supporting the accuracy and consistency of LNSP functions such as transfers, tariffs, embedded network, service orders management and standing data exception management across all AusNet internal systems and published in market to meet both business and market compliance obligations and to support our customers.

 

This role is based in Southbank and is part of the Gas & Metering team.

 

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Processing of Market transactions (CATS Inbound and Outbound transactions), inclusive of Transfers
  • Management of Standing Data quality and synchronisation between internal systems and MSATS
  • Management of Embedded Networks, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders related to Embedded Network
  • Assess issues and exceptions across the end-to-end process and systems, determine root causes and recommend solutions.  Issues and exceptions will typically be complex, requiring in depth understanding of industry rules, business processes and business systems from connections through to billing, and the use of this understanding to resolve unique problems
  • Provide the specialist, domain knowledge and leadership in the engagement with internal and external stakeholders to support the correct and timely resolution of incidents and issues
  • Complete and maintain activities for the management of Standing Data, Tariffs, Market transfers, Logical Conversion and Embedded Networks within the required accuracy and timeliness required by the market and internal business obligations
  • Engage in testing preparation and execution activities to support continuous improvement and changes/ defect rectification activities

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

  • Proven analytical skills – your ability to compare and analyse detailed data from varied sources, typically from large, complex data sets to identify problems and determine appropriate manual or automated solutions
  • Strong problem solving skills - organised and pragmatic approach to problem definition, identification and assessment of alternatives, and selection and implementation of the recommended solution
  • Demonstrated experience in metering within the energy/utility industry, preferably within electricity, and an end-to-end understanding of the meter to billing processes
  • Industry knowledge - LNSP experience preferred and detailed knowledge industry obligations and procedures
  • Metering Systems Experience: Operational experience in the use of metering systems, preferably SAP, UIQ and/or PolicyNet, EnergyIP, Kinetiq and market systems
