We have an opportunity for a Head of Asset Management to lead Asset Management and Field Engineering teams across AusNet's Transmission network.  This role will play a critical part in shaping asset strategy, managing risk, influencing investment decisions and building capability across a growing function.

 

Reporting to the GM Network Management, this role is based at Freshwater Place and forms part of our Transmission Network Management team.

 

What you’ll help deliver

 

  • Lead Asset Management and Field Engineering, providing strategic and people leadership across the function.
  • Develop asset strategies, lifecycle plans and risk based investment priorities for critical Transmission assets.
  • Drive asset health reporting, condition assessments and mitigation plans to improve network reliability and resilience.
  • Support major investment decisions, business cases and Board level reporting for a significant portfolio of Transmission infrastructure.
  • Build capability, strengthen governance and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:

 

  • Significant Asset Management leadership experience within Transmission, Distribution or regulated energy infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of Transmission assets, asset lifecycle management, risk based planning and asset performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering and asset management teams through change, growth and capability uplift.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical, executive and Board level audiences.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, with Electrical Engineering preferred.
