We're seeking a skilled HSEQ Advisor to join our growing team!  In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting a specific portfolio by providing HSEQ expertise, coaching, and guidance to employees and delivery partners.  You'll collaborate with the designated HSEQ Business Partner to drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement across AusNet's operations.

 

Enjoy a 2/3 hybrid split with the flexibility to work from one of our offices in Southbank, Lilydale, Malvern, Ringwood, or Yarraville, whichever best suits you. This role also involves travel to various AusNet sites to provide on-site support.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Visible proactive and practical safety leadership on/off site and the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Professional HSEQ advice, support, coaching and guidance to Leaders and Employees
  • Effective consultation when making changes or decisions that affect health and safety
  • Active contribution to Team HSEQ initiatives
  • Assigned HSEQ improvement projects and planned initiatives
  • The AusNet HSEQ Plan and strategies to support company and industry best practice outcomes


You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Experience as a HSEQ Professional, and Utilities industry experience is advantageous
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders in order to engage and influence, especially site managers and supervisors, to retain focus on HSEQ requirements even when not physically on site
  • Ability to provide various types of HSEQ support to multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation
  • A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and a current Australian Drivers Licence
