Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That’s refreshing.

The HR Services team is the central point of contact for HR queries and processing people movements (onboarding, transfers and offboarding). The team prides itself on understanding our people and delivering high quality customer service.

This role is perfect for someone in their HR journey as a generalist or coordinator, with a growth mindset, practical approach and enjoys working in a diverse role to make real impact as AusNet continues to evolve and grow.

Working 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home, this role is based in Southbank and is part of our People team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • “HR Concierge” – providing support and guidance on general HR queries via Teams, phone, email and face-to-face
  • HR Administration such as processing letters, contracts, etc.
  • Data management and maintaining the system, ensuring Organisational, Position and Employee Data is up to date
  • Policy interpretation – acting as a knowledge hub for the business
  • Creating IT requests for new starters and people movements

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer focussed support role, within the HR space
  • An understanding of how a business operates from a HR lens
  • You are tech savvy across HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (incl. Teams, Excel and Word)
  • You enjoy problem solving complex situations and work well through ambiguity
  • You are detail orientated and curious in your approach
  • You enjoy working people and across all levels of an organisation

We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.

We believe in more than just competitive pay. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Flexibility: whether this is hybrid work, flexible hours, or part time arrangements, we’ll work with you to help balance work and life.
  • Leave: more than typical personal leave and a generous 14 weeks of paid parental leave, with no minimum service.
  • Community giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or for a cause that matters to you.
  • Perks: we offer all the other perks you’ve come to expect like purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts and more.
