About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic General Manager – People Enablement to lead a Centre of Excellence that shapes our culture, leadership, and talent strategies. This pivotal role will drive enterprise frameworks across Reward & Analytics, Organisational Development and Strategic Talent Management, ensuring our workforce is ready for today and the future.
Lead a high-performing team of four direct reports and guide 19 specialists across our Centre of Excellence portfolio. You’ll work hand-in-hand with senior leaders and the Board to shape bold people strategies, elevate leadership capability, and drive transformation that positions AusNet for the future.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll partner closely with our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Extended Leadership Team (XLT), bringing strong cadence, clarity and execution discipline to an ambitious transformation agenda.
- Lead the design and delivery of reward, benefits, and recognition strategies aligned to business goals.
- Oversee culture, performance, talent, leadership, and succession frameworks to build future capabilities.
- Drive strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
About You
We’re looking for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in complexity and inspires change. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- 15+ years’ experience in specialist HR roles (reward, OD, workforce planning).
- Ideally 18 months from a CPO trajectory—ready to operate at breadth while lifting maturity and scale.
- Board‑facing credibility; able to run strategy and execute—calm under pressure, resilient and flexible.
- Proven success leading diverse HR teams and delivering tailored solutions.
- Experience leading diverse expert teams; high stakeholder EQ; thrives in a relationship‑led, complex environment.
