As Finance Controls Analyst, you will ensure an effective control environment within the finance function, performing key control functions including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, ERP role security, Delegation of Authority Manual compliance, cost allocation rules and consolidation checks.

You will also assist with tasks in the Statutory reporting team including preparation of financial statements and preparation of analytical review packs.

 

With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Financial Planning & Control team within Finance & Governance.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Key finance control functions, such as, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation reviews and sign off, SAP role security, cost allocation model maintenance and updates
  • Financial Statement due diligence procedures including internal controls testing, financial accounting questionnaire
  • Assist the Statutory Reporting Manager with preparation of annual and half-yearly financial statements, preparation of quarterly analytical review packs for CFO as well as clearance of audit queries

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Qualification as Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent
  • Previous experience with month-end activities desirable
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and transaction flows
  • Strong control mindset and ability to understand big and small pictures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure work can be clearly understood by managers and team-mates
