As Finance Business Partner, you will partner with stakeholders in the Development and Future Networks (DFN) business, providing financial analysis, advice and supporting strategic initiatives.

You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financials for month end, budgeting and forecasting, and the 5 Year Financial Plan.  You will also collaborate with the business and wider Finance team, particularly the Capital Investments team, to understand future projects and ensure consistency between the team’s financials. 

 

With a Hybrid split (Southbank/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and you will be embedded within the DFN business unit, working within the Finance and Performance team.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • First point of contact for all financial and accounting queries for your embedded portfolio business unit
  • Engage and collaborate with the business and wider Finance team to support strategic and operational priorities through financial analysis, advice, and recommendations
  • Provide financial support for major capital projects in the delivery and operating phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring knowledge transfer of relevant information in relation to project contracts from the Capital Investments team
  • Review OPEX business cases and financial models for new opportunities
  • Apply in depth understanding of the drivers of the business to ensure accurate development of financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis
  • Lead month end processes down to EBITDA level, ensuring data integrity, providing insightful analysis and recommendations and improving financial performance

 

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Business Partner within a similar like role
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrated ability to understand commercial and operational risks/opportunities and their financial/accounting implications
  • Project financial reporting, controlling and governance experience
  • Financial modelling skills with the ability to review models and understand strategic direction
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with key stakeholders and develop strong relationships across all levels of business
  • Proven ability to interpret/report/present complex data for non-financial stakeholders to derive clearly and concisely the “so what” from large volumes of data
  • Advanced Excel skills, SAP experience advantageous
  • Professional body membership: CA/CPA
