What you’ll be doing
As our FP&A Manager, you will:
- Lead the annual 5-Year Plan, working closely with stakeholders to shape assumptions and financial narratives.
- Oversee the annual budget cycle and monthly forecasting, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to improve business outcomes.
- Provide clear, compelling financial analysis to senior management, the Executive Leadership Team and external stakeholders.
- Deliver monthly P&L and capital expenditure forecasts with precision and strategic interpretation.
- Partner across the organisation to educate, influence and guide financial understanding.
- Prepare high-quality presentations that articulate key drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Drive ongoing improvements to financial planning tools, processes and systems.
- Lead and mentor a team of two financial professionals, ensuring engagement, development and excellence.
What you bring
You don’t need to meet every requirement — we hire for capability, curiosity and attitude. However, we’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar.
- CA or CPA (CA preferred; CFA highly regarded).
- Background in Big 4 auditing plus FP&A experience, ideally within regulated utilities.
- 5+ years’ experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Deep understanding of P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet interactions.
- Exceptional Excel capability and strong financial modelling skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence, partner with senior stakeholders, and lead teams.
- A curious, proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
A real place to belong.
We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club and wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.
We believe in more than just competitive pay. Here’s what sets us apart:
- Flexibility: whether this is hybrid work, flexible hours, or part time arrangements, we’ll work with you to help balance work and life.
- Leave: more than typical personal leave and a generous 14 weeks of paid parental leave, with no minimum service.
- Community giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or for a cause that matters to you.
- Perks: we offer all the other perks you’ve come to expect like purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts and more.
