We have an opportunity for an Environment Advisor to provide environmental advice while supporting the practical application of environmental systems, compliance and performance improvement. This role balances operational delivery with strategy, working closely with teams to manage risk, meet regulatory requirements and continuously improve environmental outcomes.
What you’ll help deliver
- Champion active environmental protection and management including educating the business on its requirements relating to work activities that could affect human health or the environment.
- Support teams and managers in carrying out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce environmental risks and financial costs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and delivery partners to resolve environmental issues effectively.
- Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
- Support investigation and management of environmental incidents and non‑conformance
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of environmental systems, processes and tools
You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineering with 5+ years’ experience
- Sound risk management skills with demonstrated environmental risk assessment experience
- Sound understanding of environmental legislation & operational compliance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Data analytics and reporting experience
