We have an opportunity for two Cartographers to take the driver’s seat and provide spatial system expertise for our DOMS.
With a Hybrid split this role is based in our Melbourne office and is part of the Distribution business unit.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Timely processing of DOMS network operating diagram patches design and alterations of exiting network, asset data anomalies and maintaining System Control operational document repositories with reference to SDMe and SCADA.
- Network Model building of Zone and Distribution substations, Terminal stations, generating stations and GRID storage stations, distribution field devices including RMU's, Switch Boards, Capacitor, Auto Reclosers, Sectionaliser’s, Metering Structures etc.
- Design, format and compile required data from aerial photographs, survey notes, records, reports, and other mapping information according to client standards in DOMS.
- Working closely with the CEOT, Network Access Planning team and Access Coordinators to confirm the mapping requirements and standards for new or existing Distribution apparatus.
- Validate network objects, mapping standards, naming conventions and general data integrity of new release sites, assuring they are correctly entered into DOMS PowerOn Advantage to commissioning the electrical network in the field.
- Responding to incidents and change requests in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Relevant qualification in electrical engineering design, spatial management, or similar
- Applied experience with Distribution Outage Management system
- Demonstrated management of a number of projects simultaneously from conception to implementation and realisation of program objectives,
- Has demonstrated extensive knowledge of Distribution Electricity Industry, design system, and practices.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
