We're looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to support the delivery of contract management activities across a portfolio of projects. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial records, administering key processes, and supporting the management of variations, registers, claims and correspondence. Your focus will be on driving compliance, ensuring accurate record keeping, and delivering high-quality contractual outputs in a timely manner.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in projects that are helping deliver reliable energy infrastructure for Victorians, while working as part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team.

 

 

What you’ll be doing in this role:

 

  • Maintain accurate and up to date Commercial Registers.
  • Draft contractual correspondence for review and approval.
  • Support the administration of variations, bank guarantees and delay claims /extensions of time at a project level.
  • Liaise with in-house procurement and legal teams to facilitate approvals.
  • Develop an understanding of terms and conditions for major construction & design contracts.
  • Support commercial reporting and analysis at a project level.
  • Contribute to process improvements and standard templates.
  • Ensure compliance through actively engaging with stakeholders and maintain awareness of relevant Ausnet policies and procedures.
  • Any other reasonable duties, as directed.

 

You don’t need to check every box; however we’re looking for a good combination of:

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Law or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years post graduate commercial and/or project administration experience in infrastructure asset development and/or delivery
  • Analytical skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of key contract terms and conditions
  • Capacity to manage 2-3 contracts simultaneously with guidance.
  • Strong consultation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to draft clear, concise professional correspondence and documentation that addresses complex legal or project issues.
  • Capacity and resilience to work under pressure with multiple and competing requirements.
  • Previous report creation experience.
  • Continuous improvement focus.
