We have an opportunity for a Commercial Director to take the driver’s seat in leading the commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement, and contract management for AusNet’s delivery of key components of the Victorian Transmission Plan (VTP) – a once-in-a-generation multi billion investment supporting Victoria’s renewable energy future.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

• Leading commercial strategy and negotiations aligned with VicGrid’s objectives
• Acting as AusNet’s primary commercial interface with VicGrid and government stakeholders
• Overseeing commercial frameworks, contracts, and financial models for VTP projects
• Establishing downstream commercial models to support project delivery

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

• Senior commercial leadership experience in infrastructure, energy, or government sectors
• Expertise in billion-dollar infrastructure projects and regulatory frameworks
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, especially with government and executive leaders
• Contract negotiation, financial modelling, and risk management capabilities
• Familiarity with Victorian energy policy and the renewable energy transition
