About the Role

 You will be responsible for shaping and sustaining the pipeline of business improvement initiatives for our Network Operations and Safety (NO&S) division.

Your role includes working with stakeholders in NO&S to develop and manage innovative improvement initiatives.  You will also drive the divisions quarterly business planning cycle activities.  

This strategic position also plays a vital role in empowering business units throughout all of AusNet to effectively capture, enhance, and manage their business processes and apply various improvement frameworks, ultimately driving improved business outcomes.

Leading a small, dedicated team of Improvement Practitioners, you will orchestrate collaborative efforts with NO&S initiative owners to tailor and develop initiatives that directly enhance the operational efficiency of their respective operations.

Your influence will extend across all facets of AusNet, ensuring a cohesive approach to business improvement. This dynamic role requires a forward-thinking mindset and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

This is a permanent full-time position.


This role will report to the Manager, Strategic Planning & Improvement within NO&S and is based in Southbank, Victoria with occasional travel across various AusNet sites.

  

What you will deliver

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the NO&S pipeline of prioritised Business Improvements
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to draft improvement initiatives aligning with NO&S business outcomes
  • Foster the development of a team of Continuous Improvement specialists in your team and across NO&S leading a community of practice
  • Facilitate the  NO&S business planning activities, including Quarterly Business Planning (QBR)
  • Be the  system owner and administrator for the Enterprise Process Centre application and lead the embedment the Enterprise Process Management tool throughout AusNet
  • Provide mentoring and support to the process modeler community across AusNet
  • Contribute to health & safety outcomes and promote real wellbeing

  • Applied experience with Enterprise Level Business Process Management systems (eg,  Signavio, Pro Map, Enterprise Process Management etc) across large enterprises
  • Relevant training or qualification in Continuous Improvement and process methodologies (eg, Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN and quality tools) and experience in BPMN 2.0 process mapping
  • A knowledge of changes and innovations in the digital landscape to support the energy transition.
