About the role
As our Asset Integration Engineer, you’ll lead the seamless integration of assets into our operational environment, from greenfield transmission and generation projects to renewable energy solutions.
You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and commercial groups to ensure assets meet long-term performance, reliability, contractual and owners requirements. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of the organisation and future-proofing the business through sustainable and strategic asset integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the handover process, ensuring a smooth transition from project construction to operations and asset management,with all milestones successfully achieved.
- Identifying and managing risks associated with the future AusNet portfolio
- Provide technical and operational expertise during the design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects, ensuring that assets are designed and built for long-term performance sustainability and in line with our owners’ requirements.
- Align technical, commercial, and operational inputs across the asset lifecycle.
- Support long-term asset management decision making by developing and implementing data analytics tools and dashboards.
- Collaborate on the design and refinement of systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with asset management objectives.
- Contribute to the development of Asset Integration strategies, systems and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable value to the Development and Future Networks (DFN) team.
What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in the electricity industry, asset management, Operations and maintenance or similar roles
- Strong communication, commercial and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (highly regarded)
- Data Analytics and continuous improvement skills (highly regarded)
- A mindset for innovation, risk awareness, and continuous improvement
