We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join us as Trainee Asset Inspectors across our AusNet distribution locations from Lilydale and South Morang
As a Trainee Asset Inspector, you will have the unique opportunity to kickstart your career in the renewable energy industry. You will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience in providing technical asset inspection services.
Picture yourself working alongside experienced professionals, learning cutting-edge techniques, and playing a crucial role in maintaining our electrical distribution network.
This role will report to the Crew Lead - Asset Inspection and is predominantly mobile with occasional travel various AusNet depots.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Learn and apply the Asset Inspection Manual and other relevant documentation to conduct accurate asset inspections.
- Assist in conducting detailed examinations of distribution and sub transmission overhead line systems, including the testing of wood poles.
- Report any maintenance requirements for components, features, or assets with precision.
- Capture digital photographs of assets in accordance with company procedures.
- Support specified preventative treatments and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles, plants, and materials are well-maintained and in good working order.
- Proactively participate in developing improved asset inspection methods.
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- A valid Victorian Driver’s License.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
- Your intrinsic drive and determination, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
