This role is based in Lilydale and is part of the Asset Inspection Support team.

 

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

 

  • Efficiently execute asset assessment and packaging programs to meet the Bushfire Mitigation & Maintenance Index, ensuring accurate and effective work prioritisation and assignment in line with the current Maintenance Policy and Strategy.
  • Apply all AusNet Services Safety Policies and Safe Work Practices to guarantee a safe working environment during the issuance of files and work instructions.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation to both internal and external stakeholders on Asset Assessment Policy and Works program at the local area level.
  • Maintain data integrity in SAP and various Works & Asset Systems concerning asset assessments.
  • Conduct regular audits on completed assessment packs and provide constructive feedback on discrepancies.
  • Manage the performance and development of team members as directed by the Group Leader.
  • Respond promptly to urgent requirements, special projects, or changes in business strategic directions when necessary.
  • Prioritise health and safety, adhering to company policies, safe work practices, and statutory requirements to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
  • Collaborate with Group Leaders to distribute workload effectively among team members, ensuring timely delivery of the overall program.
  • Display proficiency in working in helicopters and be willing to undergo necessary training.


You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

 

  • Proven experience in asset assessment, works packaging, and network maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asset Assessment Policy and current Maintenance Policy and Strategy.
  • Desired Familiarity with SAP and various Works & Asset Systems.
  • Desired strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety policies and practices.
  • Availability to work additional hours when required during peak seasons and emergency situations.

 

Job Prerequisites

 

  • Travel to other business sites will be required - a current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
  • Desirable Completion of UET30621 - Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead with Current Victorian Line Worker Registration. (Preferred minimum 5 years of Line Worker field experience) or
  • UET50221 - Diploma of ESI - Power Systems
